He has over 21 years’s experiences in construction inspection and testing, quality control and construction management. He has climbed the career ladder as a reputable engineer starting from a production engineer with a prefab company to an assistant resident engineer to a resident engineer with diverse consulting engineering firm such as HSSI Integrated Sdn. Bhd. , Hussien & K.H.Chong Sdn. Bhd. and Ranhill Consulting Sdn. Bhd. He was involved in various mega projects such as the construction of North-South Expressway Senai to Kulai, Kuala Lumpur International Airport Package 2, Light Rail Transit System (PUTRA), Rail link from Senai to Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas, Federal Road Batu Pahat – Air Hitam – Kluang, Gerbang Selatan bersepadu ICIQ, Senai – Pasir Gudang – Desaru Expressway and Extension of PelabuhanTanjung Langsat. He was at one time worked as a project engineer and later become a project manager for construction companies where he gained his experiences in managing the construction project. Shahrudin holds a diploma in Civil Engineering From Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, B.Eng. in Civil engineering from Middlesex Polytechnic, United kingdom and is currently pursuing his M.Eng. in Highway Construction at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is a Professional Engineer, a member of Institution of Engineer Malaysia ( M 29081 ) and a member board of Engineer, Malaysia (13330). With his vast experience he leads the testing services section of QSE.

He has 16 years of experiences in construction industries especially in conducting laboratory and field testing starting as Laboratory Assistant for Project Lebuhraya Utara Selatan to a Junior Lab. Technician at Project Malaysia – Singapore Second Crossing and last post he hold as Senior Laboratory Technician with Pakatan Geo Services Sdn. Bhd. He joint QSE Lab as Senior Technician in – charge of laboratory and field testing. He has vast experiences through his hands – on experiences in conducting laboratory and field testing during his tenure with various company. He is expert in soil such as CBR, Proctor, Atterberg Limit, soil classification, sieve analysis, field density test, in – situ CBR etc, pre – mix test such as Marshall test , bitumen extraction, coring, density stc , concrete testing such as crushing cube, materials properties test such as crushing value, 10% fines, flakiness and elongation, impact value etc.

He has 5 years of experiences in construction industries expecially in conducting laboratary. He has many experience in laboratory job. His field testing starting as Laboratory Assistance for project FT 092 PULAREK (NZ BINA SDN.BHD), He also in charge for all matter regarding testing, road and drainage testing in ML SEPAKAT SDN.BHD, He also get involve and in charge of all matter regarding earth work testing, road, and drainage testing. He also expert in soil such as CBR, Proctor, Atterberg Limit, Soil Classification, Sieve analysis, field density test, in situ CBR etc, pre-mix test such as Marshall test, bitumen extraction, coring,density etc,concrete testing such as crushing cube,materials properties test such as crushing value, 10% fines, flakiness and elongation, impact value etc.
